"Creating Effective
Citizens...One Student At A Time."

OCSS welcomes all persons interested in the teaching
and promotion of the social studies, including lay persons and educators, both
public and private, at all educational levels,
as well as representatives from
the corporate world of social studies
educational publications and resources.

What Benefits Do Members Receive?
 |
Members can participate in two annual, statewide conferences at

workshops, travel opportunities,
and scholarships for students and teachers, alike. |
 |
OCSS also sponsors special awards and contests for recognition
of achievement in social studies education. |

Most importantly, OCSS speaks for your concerns; it is an
advocate for you and your profession as a social studies educator. |
