STATE HISTORY AND ARTS
CONFERENCE
A SUCCESS!
February 3, 2007, teachers from across the state of
Oklahoma gathered together for the first History and Arts State
Conference. Over 500 teachers registered for the event, which featured
historic re-enactor Bill Barker from Colonial Williamsburg, portraying
Thomas Jefferson, and several breakout sessions presented by state
teachers and professional organizations.
The conference was
sponsored by the Oklahoma State Department of Education and was organized
by
Glen Henry, State Director of Fine Arts and Kelly Curtright, State
Director of Social Studies. |
