OCSS BOARD MEETING – 2/21/04
President
Brett Dickerson called the meeting to order.
Those

Paula Belcher, Jennifer Babb, Kelly Palmer, Matt Holtzen, Denise Rhodes, Greg
Oppel, Julie Guild, Barbara Schindler, Mary Oppegard, Patti Harrold, Shirley
Nero, Brett Dickerson, Ann Kennedy, Linda Gunsaulis, Rita Geiger, Kelly
Curtright, Bill Amburn, and Bob Ehules.
The
board voted on the following meeting dates:

Brett with venue ideas for these meetings.
Brett
Dickerson and Pam Merrill are going to summarize all the conference
evaluations, including the individual session evaluations. Summaries will be emailed to presenters.
We
had approximately 140 registered at the winter conference – exact numbers to be
reported at a later date.
OCSS
Constitution is online at our website.
Brett
suggested we look at conferencing and see what we want to accomplish with our
conferences. He also suggested that we
have committee meetings at our scheduled board meetings. We would meet as a whole group at first,
then break out for approx. 45 minutes for committee meetings – then come back
together as a whole and have each committee report. This would allow the committees to work on details and the board
would serve as the oversight. We should
close our meetings by eating!!!!!!
March
meeting – Brett would like to formalize objectives for conferencing and also
look at when the fall conference might be scheduled.
The
Board gave a special thank you to Julie Guild for spending the better part of
the last 2 years as our President!
